About me...
I moved into ASC Studios in April 2009, situated in a converted old factory in an urban industrial part of South East London, known as Lower Sydenham.
A graduate from the London College of Printing back in 1991, I have spent the best part of the last two decades working in the creative industries.
Commercial art, fine art, photography, printing, illustration, typography - therefore the bracket term 'art and design' would probably best fit to describe the work I do.
My latest major project I have termed 'Tintangles'.
These artworks crafted from recycled materials and household paint combine to create a bizarre mix of the old and the new.
Inherently retro yet strangely contemporary, current drink manufacturers logos appear through distressed layers of paint as if already antiqued before their time.
Although on the surface these creations appear to be humorous - containing familiar, comfortable subject matter - but I also hope to bring to the viewers attention the more serious green issues concerning recycling.
